Body discovered at recycling centre in Ballymount

A BODY has been discovered at a recycling centre in Ballymount.

Gardai, who still remain at the scene, were notified at around 6.40am this morning of the discovery and the body has since been removed to the Dublin City Mortuary.

Gardai confirmed to The Echo that: “Gardaí are currently at the scene, in relation to the discovery of a body at a recycling centre in Ballymount, Dublin 24 this morning Friday 27th September, 2024.

“At approximately 6.40am this morning Gardaí were notified.

“The body of a white male was examined at the scene and has now been removed to the Dublin City Mortuary where a state post-mortem will take place in due course.

“The results of the post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.

“The scene remains preserved and will be examined by Garda Technical Bureau.

No further information is available at this time.”
