Book of condolences opens in memory of Sinéad O’Connor

A BOOK of condolences has been opened by South Dublin County Council, to allow people express their sympathies to the family of Sinéad O’Connor.

The acclaimed singer’s passing on Wednesday has been met with immense sadness and loss as the 56-year-old is remembered for her honest and very real impact on both music and society.

Opening the online Book of Condolence in South Dublin County, Mayor Alan Edge said: “Sincere condolences to Sinéad’s family and loved ones.

“Her beautiful voice and her fragility belied her strength and her courage to challenge orthodoxies and she will rightly have a place in the history of transformation of Ireland for the better.”
