Brace of National medals for Dixon

TALLAGHT Athletic clubs Cormac Dixon won a brace of medals at the National Senior, Junior & Even Age Cross Country Championships in Gowran Demesne, Co Kilkenny on Sunday.

The young athlete contested his first competitive race since June following recovery from an injury and despite the extremely heavy underfoot conditions and not being fully fit, he delivered a powerful performance in the last 1000m of the combined U18 and junior 5000m contest to take silver in the U18 contest in addition to a gold medal as the third scorer on the Dublin team that won the Junior/U20 Inter County title.
