BRC are on target in the Czech Republic
AT THE recent International Metallic Silhouette Shooting Union World and European Championships held in Ludvikovice in the Czech Republic, Bohernabreena Rifle Club took home three medals in various disciplines.
The Friarstown-based club competed against other teams from the Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, France, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Australia, Germany, Sri Lanka.
It certainly was a tournament to remember for Alan Fitzpatrick, as he took Gold in the Smallbore Light Class, and Bronze in the Smallbore Hunting Class.
Tommy Conroy took Bronze in the D shooting class.
Two other club members were unlucky to finish just outside the medals, as Frank Feeney in SBH Masterclass, and Lynda Fitzpatrick in the SBL A competition, both finished fourth in their respective events.
The club, originally known as Ballinteer Rifle Club, is located not far from Bohernabreena Waterworks and is only ten minutes drive from Tallaght village.
The club caters for participants from 14 years and upwards, with under 18s participation fully supervised.
