BUSINESSES who may be affected by potential changes surrounding Brexit are invited to attend a workshop seminar at the LEO South Dublin training room on Wednesday, November 22, from 2.30pm to 5pm.

The free seminar is aimed at exporters, potential exporters and importers, particularly affected by potential changes arising from Brexit in relation to importing and exporting customs, tariffs and paperwork.

It will include expert advice from industry specialists and will highlight the challenges, opportunities and supports available to businesses in light of the changes expected as a consequence of Brexit.

A survey earlier this year carried out by SDCC and the Chamber revealed 90 per cent of respondents were active exporters.

Among those scheduled to speak at the event are Liam Davis, of Rathcoole company WPD Logistics & Freight Consultant.

Mr Davis has over 40 years of logistics experience helping companies import and export all over the world – including issues surrounding legal requirements, understanding documents and language barriers.

The Brexit seminar will also feature key speakers Tom Thornton – MD Wells Cargo Logistics Ltd/President IIFA, Carol-Ann O’Keefe Revenue Brexit Unit, Seamus Kavanagh Executive Officer IIFA, and Amanda Mills Local Enterprise Office.

A free Brexit advice package will be presented to attendees.
