Calling all budding young writers living in Jobstown
BUDDING young writers have been invited to enter a children’s writing competition and to use the power of words to tell everyone what they believe is the ‘best thing’ about living in Jobstown.
Organised by the Little Monsters Youth Club, as part of the ongoing Pride of Jobstown programme, the writing competition invites kids to write about what’s great about their community in 300 words or less, using poetry or prose.
Young writers are asked to finish the following, ‘The best thing about living in Jobstown is . . .’ – with lots of prizes up for grabs, including a €100 Square voucher, a family pass to the Dublin Climb Centre and chocolate hampers.
Closing date for the competition, which has two categories, under 10s and under 13s, is Monday, April 3, and entries can be posted in a competition box in St Thomas’s Senior School or by emailing littlemonstersyc@gmail.com.
Include your name, age and contact details on entries.
