By Aideen O'Flaherty
LIDL has applied for permission for the change of use of Unit 3 in Block 3 of the Lidl Complex in Belgard from retail to office use.
The proposed change of use would provide an office with a 155sq.m gross floor area, excluding a shared lobby of 34sq.m.

Provision of signage zones related to the office use, and all associated works to complete the development, and signage zones located on the fascias of the ground floor retail Unit 2, is included.
It is also noted in the application the permission is being sought for two internally illuminated, projecting pharmacy ‘cross’ signs, for a pharmacy which will be operating from the ground floor retail unit, Unit 2, of Block 3.
A decision on the planning application has not yet been made by South Dublin County Council.
