Chickenpox prevents woman from appearing in District Court
CHICKENPOX prevented a woman who stole over €1,300 worth of clothes from Marks & Spencer and who faces other theft charges from appearing in Blanchardstown District Court.
Alison Wynne, aged 38, with an address at Foxdene Avenue, Balgaddy, Lucan, pleaded guilty to stealing clothing worth €1,337 from Marks & Spencer, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, on January 5, 2018.
She is also charged with stealing groceries worth €110.21 from Lidl, Fonthill Road, Clondalkin, on July 19, 2018.
Wynne is also charged with stealing €21 worth of goods from Marks & Spencer, Liffey Valley, on May 5, 2018.
She is also charged with stealing groceries worth €31.06 from Lidl, Ballyfermot Road, Ballyfermot, on July 20, 2018.
The case was before Judge David McHugh for mention.
There was no appearance from Wynne in court.
Wynne’s counsel, Jennifer Jackson BL, told Judge McHugh that her client had contracted chickenpox and was unable to come to court.
Judge McHugh remanded Wynne on continuing bail for a month for mention.
