Chief executive officer refuses to comment on ‘speculation’

SOUTH Dublin County Council chief executive Colm Ward refused to comment on “speculation” surrounding the purchase of Lucan House and adjoining lands in a deal worth nearly €15m.

A development land update from Lisney Commercial Real Estate last month, included details of the sale of the Italian Ambassador’s residence Lucan House to the council for about €10m (€333,300 per acre) and adjoining lands known as Coldblow (60 acres) for €4.8m (€80,000 per acre).
