
Child struck by car is rushed to hospital
A CHILD was rushed to hospital on Sunday evening after he was struck by a car in Tallaght.
The incident occurred at Belgard Square when the car collied with a young boy at around 10.50pm.
The child was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital and his injuries are believed to be not life-threatening.
The scene around Belgard Square was examined by gardai and the area has since re-opened to traffic today.
Gardai confirmed to The Echo: “Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision at Belgard Square in Tallaght on Sunday, 25th August 2024.
“The collision occurred when a car collided with a male child at approximately 10.50pm.
“The child was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for treatment. It is believed his injuries are not life-threatening”.
