THE 7th annual Clondalkin Christmas busk in aid of the Ciarán Carr Foundation will take place virtually this Wednesday, December 23, at 7pm on Facebook live.

Singer-songwriter Colm Gavin, alongside many other musicians from the area, typically busks on Main Street in Clondalkin for an evening on Christmas week to raise funds for local Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) charity, the Ciarán Carr Foundation.

However, as a result of the pandemic, the plans for the busk have changed – and it will now be broadcasted virtually from East Village Coffee at the Round Tower.

Colm Gavin said: “Due to present restrictions the busk will not be open to the public, however we welcome everyone to tune in on Facebook on Wednesday night.

“A donation link will be available in the live video description.

“Everyone involved in this year’s busk has gone to great lengths to ensure that every conceivable safety precaution is met. The health and safety of everyone involved has always been and will always be paramount.”

The busk will be live on the Ciarán Carr Foundation Facebook page from 7pm to 8pm this Wednesday, December 23.
