Clondalkin entrepreneur’s event raising funds Pieta House
By Maurice Garvey
Clondalkin property investor Joe Doyle has been forced to change a function room in the Clarion Hotel in Liffey Valley twice, due to huge demand for his entrepreneurial talk on September 12.
All proceeds from the €48.45 tickets for the Mind Body Wallet event are going to Pieta House, a decision Joe figured was an easy one to make.
“Suicide is rampant where I grew up,” said Joe.
“Lots of bad stuff goes on when people’s heads fall out of the game. We need to look after the mind and body, because there is no point in dying when you’re forty. And you need to look after the pocket, so it’s mind, body and wallet. That’s what I’m thinking every single day, you have to bring the three of them together.”
Doyle (33) scaled the heights of the property boom in his early 20s, but was faced with serious debt when the recession hit.
After making a successful recovery in property repairs and investment, he uses his knowledge and experience to help other people on his Joe Doyle Entrepreneur Facebook page.
Initially, the plan was to cater for 100 people, but with interest gaining traction online, the event has been moved into a bigger room with a capacity for a crowd of 300.
“Most of the tickets being sold are single,” said Joe.
“I’d be seen as an expert by people on social media who don’t have what I have, but the reality is that it is all trial and error.
“We will be speaking about all the ingredients an entrepreneur needs to succeed in business.
I will be sharing my story of how I went from being three weeks away from bankruptcy to rebuilding a substantial property portfolio in less than three years.”
The event is set to feature a surprise big name guest, plus a number of other entrepreneurial speakers.
As of Wednesday, over 170 tickets for the event have been sold.
