Clondalkin fire claims fourth victim as four-year-old boy dies in hospital

This morning’s tragic fire in Clondalkin has claimed a fourth victim after a four-year-old boy, named Jordan, lost his fight for life at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

The blaze at an apartment in Kilcronan Avenue in Clondalkin that broke out about 2:30am this morning had already claimed the lives of 27-year-old Anne Marie O’Brien and her two-year-old daughter Paris.

Three-year-old Holly was also killed in the fire, while another woman remains in St James’ Hospital tonight. Her condition is currently unknown

Books of condolence have been opened at the Civic Offices in both Clondalkin and Tallaght this afternoon by Mayor Guss O’Connell.

Investigations continue this afternoon, with an update from gardai expected later today.
