Goonery, aged 29, with an address at Lindisfarne Avenue, Clondalkin, and Murphy, aged 30, with an address at Lindisfarne Green, Clondalkin, are charged with assaulting a named male causing harm at the Luas tram on the Naas Road on December 12, 2015.

Both Goonery and Murphy were represented by their solicitor, Simon Fleming.

A Solicitor for the DPP told the court that the book was ready to be served. He said the DPP had consented for Goonery and Murphy to be sent forward for trial to the present sitting of Dublin Circuit Court.

Noting that the book had been served, Judge McHugh issued both Goonery and Murphy with the alibi caution and sent them forward on bail to the present sitting of the Circuit Court.
