Cognikids expands its baby products
By Hayden Moore
SINCE its launch in 2013, Irish functional baby products company Cognikids has expanded not only its brand but its product range too – and has now been launched into one of Ireland’s largest retailers.
A favourite among stars such as Joe Wicks – The Body Coach and Vogue Williams, Cognikids is now readily available in selected Dunnes Stores across Ireland.
Ollwyn Moran is growing the business
Back in 2012, while in full-time employment as a science teacher in St Mark’s Community School in Tallaght, Templeogue native Ollwyn Moran developed an anti-slip onesie for children learning how to crawl after watching her own child struggle to crawl on a hardwood surface in their house.
At the time it was known as Creeper Crawlers, but since 2013 they have rebranded as Cognikids to enable expansion in other areas and Ollwyn has departed her steady job to grow the business – and that it has.
Through its uses of the latest technology and clever design, they have created a range of functional baby products that encourages babies to develop their brains through movement and activity.
The range, launching in Dunnes, Sip, Dip and Grip are ethically produced products aimed at making daily tasks fun and easy for younglings.
Sip is a two-piece open cup with a removable grip that is designed to encourage independent feeding, with Dip a ‘pre-spoon’ that also enables children to feed themselves.
‘Grip’ is a gripper that helps babies to grasp their own bottle to ease the feeding transition from breast to bottle.

Speaking at the launch, Cognikids founder Ollwyn Moran said: “I’m so excited for Cognikids to be listed in Dunnes Stores.
It’s such an iconic Irish retailer and is constantly evolving and supporting Irish produce and design.
“This is a great step for our brand and I can’t wait for all the Dunnes Stores customers to get the chance to see and purchase our products”
The range is now available in stores nationwide.
