Concertgoer caught dealing cocaine gets the Probation Act

Duke, aged 26, with an address at Hillside, Dalkey, had pleaded guilty to simple possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine for sale or supply at Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, on July 16, 2016.

He was before Judge Patricia McNamara for payment of €500 to Pieta House and for completion of a drug-awareness course.

Duke’s solicitor, Padraig O’Donovan, said the donation had been paid.

Judge McNamara said the report on the drug awareness course was good. She dismissed both charges with the benefit of the Probation Act.
