Coronavirus: 1179 new cases confirmed

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 1179* confirmed cases of COVID-19.

According to information provided through the Department of Health’s Twitter account, 1179 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 are being reported as of midnight, Saturday, July 17.

*Daily case numbers may change due to further data review, validation and update.

The Department also confirmed that 91 people are in hospital, 22 of whom are in ICU.
