Council criticised for letting library ‘fall into ruins’

A PUBLIC meeting took place this week to provide residents with an update on the status of Inchicore Library, which has been closed for nearly four years.

Prior to the meeting on Tuesday night, Michael O’Flanagan, Chair the Inchicore Library Advisory Committee, says the closure of the library was “coincidental” with the closure of St Michael’s Community Centre, also in Inchicore, leaving community groups “bereft of any venture to carry out activities for a full four years.”
