Cyclist rushed to hospital after being injured by falling tree near Hell Fire Club

A cyclist was rushed to hospital yesterday afternoon after they were struck by a falling tree on the Kilakee Road, near the Hellfire Club.

The road was closed for a period of time while emergency services dealt with the serious incident.

A unit from Rathfarnham Fire Station attended the incident, along with advanced paramedics.

The tree was later removed and the road was reopened.

The extent of the cyclist’s injuries are not known at this time.
