Dancers help out VISIT charity for the homeless
By Aideen O'Flaherty
OVER 100 items of personal hygiene products, socks and underwear were donated to local charity VISIT by a local dance school.
Thirty young dancers and their families, from the Kiltipper-based Bradley School of Irish Dancing, decided to pull together to donate to VISIT, a Tallaght-based charity that supports homeless people and people in need in the area.

The dancers and their teachers donned Christmas hats and jumpers when they handed over the donations they had gathered to VISIT last Thursday, December 13, in the P&T Club.
Megan Bradley, a dance teacher from the school, told The Echo: “We as a school donate or help out a charity every year when we can, and this year we decided to donate to a charity called VISIT, which is based in Tallaght and also Clondalkin.
“We collected hygiene products, hats, scarves, gloves, underwear and socks for men and women.
“We were so happy and proud to give something to our community and to people less fortunate than ourselves, especially at Christmas.”
The families of each dancer donated two items to the cause, and the items were handed over to the charity in festive-wrapped gift boxes.
Megan added that the school wanted to “highlight the work that is being done behind closed doors by VISIT to help our local people out.
“VISIT are very appreciative of every little thing to help their organisation in helping people less fortunate than ourselves, and also at this time of year.”
