Ballymounts-based Datapac, founded in 1982 is one of Ireland’s largest and most successful ICT solutions. It’s implementation of a new backup and business continuity is helping ‘Respond! Housing Association’.
Founded in 1982 Respond! desgins and builds houses for people who may not be in a position to provide safe, secure, long term housing for themselves.

The assocation has been succesful in building over 5,500 homes in Ireland. With a staff of over 250 members they are responsible for the ongoing management of 4,100 properties around the country.
The goal of Respond! is to wipe out poverty through the creation of vibrant, socially integrated communities, and has provided more than 5,500 units of accomdation nationiwde. Datapac provided Respond! with true business continuity allowing Respond’s staff to focus on the assocation’s tenants, rather than dealing with issues relation to IT.
Having looked at a number of solutions and providers, Respond! chose a Datto backup and business continuity platform and chose Datapac, the only Datto platform provider in Ireland.
Respond! has exprienced numerous benfits from the new Datto solution.
The system has eased any concerns regarding available backup space along with doubling backup capacity giving them plenty of room for future expansion. This gives the assocation full confidence in face of potential downtime.
In case of a hardware failure, malware, or a natural disaster Datto permits Respond! to instantly restore accounts and operate as usual.
