Davy Byrne got the hosts first goal in the opening 10 minutes while Dublin minor captain Davy Keogh registered the second before the break.

Davis always had the upper hand in this contest with their forward line clocking up vital scores throughout the game.

John Synott was the stand-out forward for Davis in this game with a goal and five points while Davy Byrne also caused problems – helping himself to a goal and four.

At the other end of the pitch, Cormac Ó Nualláin and Cillian Crookes sent over a couple to keep them within shooting distance at the break.

However Davis hit the turbo boost button in the second half tagging on a further three goals and 10 points to see them run out comprehensive winners.

Ian O’Brien, Jordan McGrath and Darragh Gibson were on target for Davis in the second half as they pulled away.

Keeper John Kinsella put in a solid show for Davis while Stephen Bates and Byrne worked hard through out.

“We are delighted with the victory. It was important for us to get this win. It’s been a tough campaign,” said Thomas Davis mentor Manus Breathnach who previously played senior hurling with Dublin.
