Disappointment for Davis
THOMAS Davis minor hurlers fell at the final hurdle as they went down to Clontarf in the Division Three League Final 0-10 to 1-12 at Parnells ground on Sunday morning.
Davis never got going in this contest and will be disappointed with the outcome after they went into this game unbeaten all season after winning the southside section.
Trailing by two points at the interval, this game was nip and tuck throughout the second half and it was a goal from Clontarf with 10 minutes on the clock that separated the teams.
Jordan McGrath and Cormac O’Toole were among the scorers for the Kiltipper side as were Dublin minor captain Davy Keogh and Liam Synott.
Full back Rian Lynch was another player that stood out in defence for Davis.
The side is out in championship action in two week’s time. They are in the same group as St Sylvester’s, Naomh Mearnóg and Faughs.
