Donate unwanted Christmas presents
Children’s rights charity Barnardos is asking people to get their New Year off to a great start and donate any unwanted Christmas presents to raise money for children in need.
The charity, which works with more than 14,000 children across the country, is asking people to forgo regifting to friends and family next year and instead drop off their unwanted gifts to a local Barnardos shop.
Barnardos store manager Bernadette Harrington said that Barnardos stores accept a multitude of gifts.
She said: “We’ve all received a Christmas gift at one time or another that we could do without. But don’t forget – whatever that gift is, it might be just what someone else is looking for.
“In Barnardos shops we sell everything from clothes, shoes and accessories, to household goods, children’s toys, art and books – all supporting our work with children and families around the country.”
You can donate to Barnardos locally and drop off your gifts at their Clondalkin store on 7 Main Street.
