Dream wedding winners get hitched in Red Cow

NEWLYWEDS Martin Hayes and Lisa Greene celebrated a new chapter of their life last week, after winning a Dream Wedding worth €6,000 through a competition with The Echo in association with The Red Cow Moran Hotel.
The pair were successful in a selection process last year, that saw ten couples initially nominated, with Martin Hayes from Harold’s Cross and Lisa Greene, from Clondalkin, winning the top prize.
“I don’t think we could have afforded to have a wedding this year without the prize,” said Martin.
“That €6,000 went a hell of a long way. It paid for 100 guests, a car picked Lisa up in the morning, both our sets of parents and ourselves, had a room for the night, and we had a wedding co-ordinator which was great help.”
The working couple, who both have kids from previous relationships and have been together for three-and-half years, were able to enjoy an “amazing build-up” to the wedding after winning the competition last September.
Martin continued: “It was such a lovely experience. Family and friends were there on the day for support when we won. We got to meet the other couples.
Dream come through
“The huge cheque we were given, we still have that at home, something to keep as a reminder.
“It was fantastic to get that opportunity from The Echo and the Red Cow Moran Hotel. The whole wedding day was amazing.
“The Red Cow went above and beyond to make it a dream come through.”
The dream is set to continue for Martin and Lisa, as the loving couple will jet out on their honeymoon to Cancún on August 15.
