Dublin Bus again forced to curtail Tallaght bus route as anti-social behaviour continues
Dublin Bus have again been forced to curtail the 27 bus route as anti-social behaviour continues in the area Brookfield area of Tallaght tonight.
In a statement this evening, a spokesperson said: “We wish to advise customers that due to anti-social behaviour buses will terminate at Molly Heffernans from 2030hrs to last bus August 4th.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The issue has been ongoing for at least the last two weeks, with the operator now taking action five times in that period.
Many residents have spoken out on the issue, condemning the actions of those involved, however the problem persists, and the impact on the wider community continues.

Speaking to the Echo this week Dublin Bus said: “Regarding your queries on the diversions to route 27 due to anti-social behaviour, Dublin Bus operates a fleet of 987 buses with 400,000 customer journeys a day.
“While the operation of such a large-scale operation is challenging, the level of anti-social behaviour is relatively low.”
