Dublin Fire Brigade remind people about the dangers of smoking in bed

Dublin Fire Brigade have again warned people not to smoke while in bed after an incident earlier today.

In images shared online by DFB, a burned mattress could be seen alongside what appears to be a pouch of rolling tobacco and a lighter.

The emergency service also reiterated the dangers of smoking in bed when under the influence of alcohol or medications.

A spokesperson said: “You should never smoke in bed, especially under the influence of alcohol or medications.

“Lucky escape for a home owner earlier today.”
