EdgeConneX to develop new data centre in Grange Castle
By Laura Lyne
DATA infrastructure company EdgeConneX looks to develop a new data centre in a site located beside the Grange Castle Business Park after submitting a planning application to South Dublin County Council for the development.
The application seeks permission to construct a 4,435 sq m single-storey data centre and six associated stand-by generators.
A 1,341 sq m single-storey office and loading bay, along with an electricity sub-station, are also proposed within the application.
The development will have a total floor area of 5,839 sq m with 26 car-parking spaces and sheltered bicycle parking also included within the plans.
Third-party submissions on the application will be accepted until July 25, with a decision on the development due from South Dublin County Council by August 15.
