Family appeal to person with ‘true information’
By Maurice Garvey
THE sister of a woman missing for seven years has appealed for “one decent person” to come forward with “true information.”
Berna Fidan, from London, has been to Dublin close to 30 times now, after her sister Esra Uryun disappeared into thin air in Clondalkin seven years ago.
Esra (38) left her Collinstown home at 7.20am on February 23, 2011, to get milk for husband Osgar and son Emin, but was never seen again.
On the seventh anniversary of her sister’s disappearance, Berna appealed for someone who “knows something” to come forward.
She has suffered numerous false dawns due to people getting in touch with ‘information’ that led nowhere.
Gardai at Ronanstown renewed their appeal this week.
Esra was last seen in the family car – a Grey Renault Twingo, registration number 08-D-23067 – at approximately 7.15am, on the morning of February 23, 2011.
The car was found later that day on the promenade in Bray – Esra’s handbag found in the boot.
“It has taken a toll on the family. My poor mother has been unwell, and our brother had a heart attack recently, due to the stress, and is still recovering,” said Berna.
“We just need one decent person with true information to come forward,”
Berna is appealing for the silver Skoda Octavia motorist, seen passing the Twingo near Bray promenade that morning to come forward.
“Maybe it has since been sold, but if anyone knows someone who was driving a car like that at that time, please contact the anonymous missing persons or garda phone line,” said Berna.
