Family hubs have 92 families on waiting list for housing
There are currently 92 families on a waiting list for accommodation in a family hub according to South Dublin County Council.
Within the county, family hubs are currently provided at:
High Street Family Hub (Abberley): a privately managed facility with 58 rooms (including 9 large family rooms) which is currently fully occupied with 54 households, some of whom require more than one room due to family size.
The Firhouse Family Hub: managed by Respond Housing with 20 rooms is currently fully occupied by 20 households, while the Springfield Family Hub: also managed by Respond Housing is fully occupied accommodating 12 households in 12 family rooms.
In Clondalkin, the Cappaghmore Family Hub: recently opened facility managed by Peter McVerry Trust, comprising of eight rooms for smaller families is fully occupied.
