Father of two faces ‘demolish or go to jail’ order over cabin

A FATHER of two is facing jail over a long-running saga during which, South Dublin County Council refused planning permissions for a cabin home on family land in Brittas.

Brendan McDonagh (44), who recently lost his mother, has battled planning authorities for seven years in an ordeal that has caused hardship for the family, who are effectively homeless since January after being forced out of the 57 sq metre cabin he built.
