
Fitzgerald named Player of the Month
PEAMOUNT United midfielder Jess Fitzgerald topped the voting to claim the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month award for August / September 2023.
The teenager has been in sensational form for the League leaders with an 80% pass completion rate across 11 League starts after forcing her way into the starting line-up.

Fitzgerald was selected ahead of Athlone Town forward Dana Scheriff and Wexford Youths midfielder Aoibheann Clancy to make it back-to-back successes for Peamount following Sadhbh Doyle’s recognition in May.
With this award, Peamount jump to the top of the Player of the Month leaderboard with 14 victories in this category since the League started in 2011.
