With Met Eireann predicting temperatures in the high teens, it will still feel like summer this weekend.

If you are stuck for plans, there are loads of things to do this weekend in the local area that won’t require sleeping in a tent or getting a bus into town.

Here's our round up of five fun things you can enjoy this weekend while the weather is still warm.

1. Tomorrow, you can get a guided tour of the Richmond Barracks in Inchicore. You’ll be able to discover the unique history of Richmond Barracks, from the British Army Garrison to the internment centre of the 1916 Rising rebels and learned about its place in the local community for over 200 years.This tour includes a visit to nearby Goldenbridge Cemetery. Adult tickets are €9 and child, students and senior tickets are €5. 2. The Women’s Cycling Club in Saggart is organizing a cycle to Sally Gap on Saturday morning. This route, easily accessible by the M50, offers stunning views of the Wicklow Mountains. The club will be meeting at 9:30am at the Insomnia cafe in Saggart and cycle up to Sally Gap where there will be a picnic.

3. You can drink some red, red wine and sway to the sounds of UB40 this weekend. The Abberley Court Hotel is hosting a UB40 tribute act for anybody who missed them in Bray last month. The show starts at 8 pm and admission is free.

4. If you are looking for a more family-friendly outing this weekend, Parkwest Fitness in Clondalkin are having a pool party and open day on Saturday from 10 am until 1pm. This free of charge event is a perfect excuse to go for a swim with the kids.

5. If work this week has left you with a knot in your back, you can melt your cares away the Ballyfermot Civic Centre. Linda Allen Yoga promises to help you restore much-needed balance in your life. The two hour session begins at 2:30 on Saturday.
