
Funeral to take place for hurling star who lost life in Texas road accident

The funeral of David O’Beirne, who lost his life in a tragic road traffic accident in the US, is being held tomorrow (Wednesday) at St Jude’s Church in Templeogue.
The 23-year-old from Green Park in Walkinstown, was on holidays with friends in Austin, Texas, when he was struck by a vehicle on July 27.

David, who was a keen hurler and a member of St Jude’s GAA Club, has been described as a “top fella”, “really friendly” and having a large circle of friends.
As reported on Echo.ie, the members of St Jude’s have expressed their heartbreak over David’s untimely passing.
In a statement released by the club: “David was one of the nicest young men you could ever hope to meet and all at CLG Naomh Jude are devastated by his untimely passing.
“We would like to offer sincere condolences and our support to Jimmy, Helen, Alan and Rachel and to all of David’s relatives and friends.”
According to RIP.ie, David’s funeral is taking place at 1pm on Wednesday, August 8, in St Jude’s Church, Willington, Templeogue.
