GARDAI are investigating a hit and run incident, in which a speeding car damaged two motorists’ vehicles, before two suspects fled the scene on foot, reports Maurice Garvey.
A Volvo car driven by two male youths, crashed into the back of a second car at a junction on the Green Isle Road in Clondalkin on Friday, at approximately 6.30pm.

This in turn, led to the rear-ended car being pushed forward and colliding with a third car, which was travelling in another direction.
Two males in the Volvo jumped out of the car they were driving, and fled through a neighbouring estate, abandoning the vehicle on the road.
A garda spokesperson said: “A car was stopped at a junction waiting to move. A Volvo car registration 02, was travelling behind at speed, and rear-ended the car forward. The second car then hit a third car, which was traveling in a different direction.”
The Echo understands the two motorists affected by the hit and run incident, were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not thought to be serious.
Gardai preserved the scene, and the Volvo vehicle, which had no tax, insurance or NCT, was subsequently impounded.
Clondalkin Garda Station are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact them at 666 7600.
