THE body of an elderly man was removed from the canal on Kylemore Road on Sunday evening (November 3).
The Echo understands gardai in Clondalkin are investigating the sudden death of a man in his 70s following the discovery of a body in the Grand Canal on Sunday morning.

A garda spokesperson said: “Foul play is not suspected.
“Gardai are treating the matter as a personal tragedy.
“A stretch of the canal was sealed off at lunchtime on Sunday to facilitate the removal of the man’s body.”
The area was sealed off with tape on Sunday afternoon, as emergency services, including Dublin Fire Brigade, attended the scene.
