
Gardai investigating fatal road traffic collision renew appeal
INVESTIGATING Gardai are renewing their appeal for any witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision between Rathcoole and Athgoe on Saturday.
A man in his 30s, who was the passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene which occurred at around 9am and also involved a truck.
Gardaí are appealing for the driver of a daytona grey coloured Audi A5 Sportback who was driving on the N7 at the time of the traffic collision to make contact with them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
In a statement on Friday morning Gardai said: “Gardaí in Clondalkin continue to investigate a fatal road traffic collision between Junction 4 (Rathcoole) and Junction 5 (Athgoe) on the N7 Westbound, Co. Dublin, Saturday, 17th August 2024.
“The collision occurred at approximately 9:00am and involved a car and a truck. A passenger in the car, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Investigating Gardaí are renewing their appeal for any witnesses to this collision to come forward”.
