Get motivated at The Civic with Gerry Duffy

By Mary Dennehy

HAVING completed some of the toughest endurance challenges on the planet, Gerry Duffy’s next challenge is a little softer and more enjoyable as he prepares himself for a motivational talk as part of this year’s Red Line Book Festival.

A professional speaker and writer on motivation and goal setting, athlete Gerry Duffy wasn’t always a positive, self-motivator and, like many of us, he has had to work hard not only on his physical fitness but on changing his perspective.

A frequent voice on TV and radio, Gerry travels all over the world to deliver motivational talks – alongside addressing workforces in multinationals such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Coca Cola, Bank of America and Uniphar.

This month, Gerry, who has also written two top selling books, is bringing his captivating manner to the Civic Theatre as part of the Red Line Book Festival - and he had a quick chat with The Echo ahead of his visit southside.
