
Go-ahead for Citywest housing development

A HOUSING development for a site at the junction of Citywest Road and Garter Avenue has been granted permission by South Dublin County Council.
There was also an application for leave to appeal on a housing development of 218 houses on a site in Boherboy in Saggart, which was granted permission back on July 15.
The development in Citywest, which is for 112 houses and apartments, was granted permission on July 29.
It will see 90 two-storey houses and 22 one- and two-bedroom apartments in a four-storey building constructed on the 3.74 hectare site.
Ten four-bed detached houses, two detached three-bedroom houses, eight semi-detached four-bedroom houses and two detached three-bedroom houses are to be built.
Also to be built within the development are eight semi-detached four-bedroom houses, 42 three-bedroom semi-detached houses, and 28 three-bedroom mid-terrace houses.
A decision on the application to leave to appeal on the Boherboy development is due from An Bord Pleanála by August 25.
