Goalden girls support the girls in green
A TALLAGHT super fan and her four friends are currently travelling in a campervan from Sydney to Brisbane for Ireland’s final group stage game against Nigeria on Monday.
Noeleen O’Brien is on route to Brisbane with friends Laura, Jenny, Majella and Divina after attending Ireland’s opening World Cup match against host country Australia in Sydney.
In communication with The Echo while on the road this week, Noeleen said: “The atmosphere before the [Sydney] game was amazing with Irish fans outside singing and dancing.
“The craic was phenomenal.
“Nothing like the Irish for support.”
Gowing up in Kilnamanagh, Katie McCabe’s home turf, Noeleen now lives in Kingswood with her family.
Noeleen explained how the friends, who are all celebrating 40th birthdays, are documenting their World Cup trip through their Instagram page HERE.
