Green Ribbon Month: Walk to change minds about mental health

FANCY WALKING for mental health, in support of See Change and their Green Ribbon month initiative and Third Age’s Operation Conversation campaign? Members of the public are invited to walk on Tuesday, May 17 at 11am in St Catherine’s Park, Lucan Demesne.
See Change is a national organisation working to change minds about mental health problems in Ireland. See Change’s Green Ribbon campaign takes place throughout the month of May, aimed at encouraging people to talk about mental health, well-being and resilience.
Operation Conversation is a Third Age initiative with a similar emphasis on the value of conversation. Operation Conversation aims to encourage people to reach out to each other in face-to-face conversation.
St Catherine’s Park is one of Dublin’s oldest and most beautiful woodland walks. It provides a very tranquil setting for walking through a combination of historical association, scenic views, woodlands and river.
The one-hour walk on Tuesday will start at the car park located on the Lucan to Clonee Road entrance at 11am.
Car-parking is free. Light refreshments will be served after the walk at Westmanstown Golf Club at 12.15pm.
Registration €10, with students €3, and an OAP rate of €5.
