The healthcare centre was acquired by British healthcare fund MedicX for €15.5m, with intentions for the centre to be let to a number of GPs, as well as providing space for the HSE and a pharmacy.

The HSE and GP services in the centre will be let on a 25-year lease, while the pharmacy will be let on a 15-year lease.

A HSE spokeswoman told The Echo that the HSE has entered into an agreement for lease with the developer of the centre.

There are plans for the HSE to provide services including public health nursing, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work and primary care counselling in the centre.

Addiction services will also be provided in the centre, including the Community Alcohol and Drugs Service and the Youth Drug and Alcohol Service.

EVE Riverview services and mental health services, comprising a mental health intellectual difficulty team, will also be housed in the centre.
