
Housing problem ‘pending tsunami that hasn’t yet hit’
THE government policy of taking in refugees during a housing and homelessness crisis, when there are new arrivals sleeping on the streets, has been questioned by a councillor.
Speaking at the recent Dublin South Central area meeting in Dublin City Council, Cllr Darragh Moriarty (Lab) said there is “huge concern” as to how the local authority are going to “cope with the expected surge that is coming at us”.
