HSE address concerns over nursing home site
By Aideen O'Flaherty
A SPOKESPERSON for the HSE addressed a number of concerns in relation to the development of a nursing home in Tymon North in Tallaght, including the stipulation that wolf-whistling will lead to “instant dismissal”, at last week’s Mid-Leinster Regional Health Forum meeting.
Responding to a question raised by Charlie O’Connor, Fianna Fáil councillor for Tallaght Central, the HSE spokesperson addressed a number of issues of concern that had been raised by residents who live near the development site.
Car parking on Tymon North Road and Tymon Grove Road is “expressly forbidden to any and all of those attached to the construction works”, while deliveries to the site much be scheduled to arrive between 8am and 5pm.
Wolf whistling was described by the spokesperson as a practice that is “unacceptable” to both the HSE and the contractors, and that “all staff have been reminded that an instant dismissal policy is in place”.
The spokesperson stated that “developing good relationships with those living and working in the vicinity of the site is very important to the HSE.”
