Hundreds ‘Walk Into the Light’ in Bohernabreena for Tree of Hope
More than 350 people were up before the sun this morning (Saturday) to walk into the light at the Bohernabreena reservoir in aid of Tree of Hope.
Staged for World Mental Health Month, ‘Walk into the Light’ was open to everyone, and the concept of “walking and talking” was at the heart of the community-led event.
St Anne’s GAA Club supported the walk, which left the Bohernabreena-based clubhouse at 6am and returned to the clubhouse after the walk which looped through the beautiful Valley of Glenamsole.
Those taking part paused at the Tree of Hope that was planted in the reservoir two years ago, and a new bench was also unveiled to commemorate the event.
