Investigation launched after cyclist seriously injured on Naas Road

An investigation is underway after Gardai and emergency services attended a road traffic collision involving a male cyclist and a truck this morning

The incident occurred at approximately 8:45am on the Naas Road at the junction with the Long Mile Road.

The cyclist was seriously injured and was taken to St James’ Hospital.

In a statement released to Echo.ie, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services attended a road traffic collision involving a truck and a male cyclist.

The incident occurred on the Naas Rd (inbound) at approximately 8.45 am.

“The man was taken to St James’ Hospital with serious injuries (hip and leg).

“Investigations are ongoing.”
