‘It’s very important to distance yourself from the social circles’
A CLONDALKIN man who was homeless in Edinburgh and battling alcohol and drug abuse, made a recovery, and went on to represent Scotland at the Homeless World Cup in August.
“I remember getting the call asking if I wanted to play for Scotland in the Street Soccer World Cup and I was delighted to accept. What an honour!” said Paddy Maloney (45).
