July 2019 Team of the Month – Lucan Sarsfields Minor Footballers
CAPTURING this season’s Minor Football League Division One title, Lucan Sarsfields have been declared The Echo Team of the Month for July.
A comprehensive display saw them secure the coveted prize in style with a 2-18 to 0-3 win over Na Fianna at Mobhi Road.

The title challenge went down to the wire with Sarsfields needing a win on the final day after second-placed Ballyboden St Enda’s received a walkover from Thomas Davis.
And their quality again shone through as they stormed to 21-point victory that saw them over the line.
“We are delighted to win the league” said Lucan Sarsfields manager David Cullen.
“At the start of year at Minor level you compete for two trophies and, while the championship is priority, winning the league is a great achievement for the lads” he added.
