Kiltipper developer seeks extension of permission
By Aideen O'Flaherty
A HOUSING developer is seeking an extension of the grant of permission for the construction of a 328-dwelling residential development and creche on the Kiltipper Road in Tallaght.
Applicant Kelland Homes secured planning permission for the development from South Dublin County Council in 2007, however phase one of the development, which is to be known as Elder Park, is currently being constructed.
There are plans for the 12.23-hectare site to house five three- and four-bed two-storey detached houses, 15 three-bed detached bungalows, 12 four-bed two-storey semi-detached houses, 121 three-bed two-storey semi-detached houses, eight three-bed semi-detached dormer homes and 163 two-storey terraced townhouses.
It is proposed that four two-bedroom apartments will be housed in a two-storey block, and a creche will be housed in a two-storey building.
Vehicular access to the planned development is to be provided via two vehicular access points from Killinarden Heights and one realigned vehicular access point from Deerpark Place.
There are provisions for modifications to the existing car parking and incidental open space at the entrance of the development, all associated site development and infrastructural works, car parking, open spaces, landscaping and watermains to the north and an ESB reservation to the south.
A decision on the application is due from South Dublin County Council by June 25.
