
Ljays Elite members cap off a great year
LJAYS Elite capped off a great year with a productive performance at the North East Open in Carrickmacross on Sunday.
Jack Lynch, fighting in the 9-10 division, was the first up for the club and successfully negotiated three tough contests en route to gold.
The Ljays Elite team that travelled to the North East Open in Carrick-macross on Sunday, capping off a great year for the club.
Dylan Dunne lined out in the 9-10 class and reached the semi finals where he lost out on a split decision, taking bronze before Ryan Dunne struck gold in the 7-8 section.
Josh Riddell, fighting advanced 13-14 Light Contact, topped the podium, serving up a second round stoppage to his opponent in the final while his brother Zak followed suit in the Advanced 17-18 division.
Next up for the club was Sean Lynch who contested the Senior Men’s division for the first time, picking up silver before then moving onto the mats for a straight final from which he emerged victorious.
Another of the Riddell brothers, Jake, took his place in the Senior Advanced section and won by stoppage in the second round.
